ENGINEERING INNOVATION
The Lotus Europa made its debut in 1966, showcasing a groundbreaking mid-engine layout and lightweight FRP body. The pinnacle of the series, the Europa Special, was launched in 1972 with a powerful 1.6-liter inline-4 engine that produced 126hp—the greatest output in the Lotus Europa lineup. Tamiya’s kit authentically replicates this iconic vehicle down to the distinct rear wing.
OUTSTANDING CHASSIS PERFORMANCE
The M-06 chassis features a rear-mounted motor and a longitudinally-mounted battery pack, providing optimal balance and a low center of gravity. With a 4-wheel double wishbone suspension and a responsive 3-piece steering linkage, this model ensures nimble handling on any terrain.
KIT SPECIFICATIONS AND INCLUSIONS
This assembly kit measures 390mm in length, 176mm in width, and 114mm in height. It includes a polycarbonate body, separate parts for mirrors, light cases, and rear wing, as well as dedicated stickers to recreate distinctive gold body pinstripes that reflect its Formula One heritage. Additional components include marking stickers and window masking stickers to aid in the painting process.
CUSTOMIZATION AND REQUIREMENTS
A variety of Hop-Up Option parts are readily available for those looking to customize their chassis. The kit includes a 540-type brushed motor, but please note that a 2-channel radio, steering servo, 7.2-7.4volt battery with a compatible charger, and Tamiya PS paint are required but not included.
