Since the late 1980s, these hoppers have hauled cement, fracking sand, roofing granules and other bulk material across the North American railroad network. The WalthersMainline model captures the look and main spotting features of this modern-era hopper. Well-defined molded details include the distinctive side ribs. The brake wheel and hopper gates are separately applied detail parts for added realism. Each HO car rides on accurate 36 scale inch diameter metal wheels while Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers ensure years of reliable operation. Features of the layout-ready models include:
